A LIGHT INSTALLATION FOR 3D VISUALIZATION

Holograms are the Future. WIREMAP is an artistic approach to the concept of three dimensional visualization. It is crazy, it is relatable, it is unique.

In 2012, together with friends, embarked on the journey of realizing a large scale version of the wiremap principle. It is an artistic approach to the concept of three dimensional visualization. Hologram 1.0 so to speak. Using 3D projection mapping, kilometers of strings and precise construction we achieved this. Essentially a 3d corpus made up of strings, each one mapped in virtual space. A projector aligned perfectly to hit every string.

The first iteration was exhibited and used in a nightclub and art space in Vienna. It won the Austrian Creative Award. The second iteration was created for the Beijing Design Week 2014.
